Bromley is the largest London borough by area, and around three quarters of homes here are owner-occupied. That shapes the work. A borough of two halves
Penge is the outlier. The Alexandra Cottages estate off the High Street, 181 small semis built in 1866 across Albert, Edward, Princes and Victor Roads, is exactly the kind of little Victorian kitchen we clean between tenants. Up the hill in Bickley it is a different job on a different scale. A two-oven AGA clean in a Chislehurst kitchen and a rental single in Anerley are the same promise, kept: the number on the phone is the number on the invoice.

- Racks, shelves and trays lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van, so the caustic bath never comes indoors. The cavity and door glass are degreased by hand.

Parking, permits and the ULEZ
Bromley took the Mayor to court over the ULEZ and lost, so it has applied borough-wide since August 2023. Controlled parking zones sit in the town centres, Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington and Chislehurst, rather than the suburban streets. Orpington's newer K1 zone covers York Rise and Newstead Avenue, worth flagging when you book there. Most driveway-and-kerb streets in the suburbs are unrestricted, which makes carrying racks to the van easy. The charter market runs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on the pedestrianised High Street, so we plan town-centre jobs around it.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
