Hayes is an interwar suburb with interwar kitchens
Hayes Place, the old mansion, came down in 1933. Henry Boot bought the grounds and had over 900 houses up across the Hayes Place Estate by the middle of that decade, which is why so much of BR2 between Pickhurst Lane and Hayes Street is the same generation of three-bed semi with the kitchen tacked on the back. It shows in the fitting. Those rooms were not designed around integrated appliances, so what sits in them now tends to be a freestanding 60cm cooker or a built-under double rather than an eye-level pair.
Parking sets the timing more than the oven does
Station Approach was rebuilt in 1935 and is still the shopping end of the village, with the 1930s Premier Parade shops and the station car park either side of it. Bromley runs controlled parking zones with permits from around £80 a year per vehicle, so kerb space near the parade is gone by mid-morning. The roads off Hayes Lane and Bourne Vale are easier.

A single oven is £77 and takes about ninety minutes. A double is £110 and runs to roughly two hours. Given the size of the estate, the common booking round here is the built-under double you get in a Hayes Place Estate kitchen. There is no premium-area surcharge and no separate call-out fee.

What the dip-tank method means indoors
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in the heated tank in the van. Cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so no chemical smell is left behind. Doors split where the design allows. The oven is heat-tested before we sign it off.
Do you cover Coney Hall and Pickhurst as well as the village?
Yes. Hayes and Coney Hall is one ward, 15,908 people at the 2021 census, and nearly all houses rather than flats. We work the whole of it.
Is there a charge for parking on a permit road?
No. Parking is our problem, not yours.
Can you do the hob and the extractor at the same visit?
Usually, if you say so when you book. A hob is £23–28 depending on type and a hood is £28. It adds time rather than a second visit.
