The Metropolitan Commons (Chislehurst and St Paul's Cray) Supplemental Act 1888 is still in force, and it hands the 180 acres of woods, heathland and ponds to a voluntary board of up to 16 Trustees rather than to Bromley Council, with at least four of them required to own or occupy a property facing the Common itself.
