West Wickham was a village until the station opened in 1882, and almost everything we clean here is the 1930s suburban housing that filled in afterwards, the semis and detached houses off the High Street, Glebe Way, Corkscrew Hill and the Coney Hall estate the Morrell Brothers built on old farmland in that decade. Those interwar kitchens run to a fair size, so a double oven is the usual booking, though the smaller Coney Hall houses and the flats near the station often hold a single.
