Three kinds of kitchen
The oven job changes street by street here. Greenwich town centre is Georgian townhouses, the riverside from the Peninsula out to Woolwich is stacked with new-build flats, and Eltham and Thamesmead run to interwar semis and post-war estates. That means three appliances in one borough: the wide range in a listed house on the hill, the integrated single in a Royal Arsenal flat, the freestanding cooker in a 1930s Eltham kitchen. The Georgian hill
Most of our period work sits on the streets climbing away from the park. Crooms Hill, Hyde Vale and Royal Hill hold some of the best Grade II listed Georgian townhouses in south-east London, and the Ashburnham Triangle behind Greenwich South Street runs to nine streets of stuccoed 1820s terraces. Kitchens like these are where the 90cm Rangemasters and cast-iron cookers turn up, and those take longer because there is more to lift out and soak.
The 90cm range rate is £114 and a two-oven AGA is £143. Where a house on Crooms Hill runs a cast-iron AGA, book the AGA clean around Greenwich and Blackheath and we work to the enamel rather than blast it.
There is no premium-area surcharge in Greenwich. The appliance sets the price, not the postcode.
The riverside flats
The Thames edge is the busiest new-build strip in the borough. Royal Arsenal Riverside at Woolwich is a Berkeley scheme heading toward five thousand homes with its own Elizabeth line station on site, and the north of the Greenwich Peninsula keeps filling in with towers. Nearly every one of those flats has the same setup: an integrated single oven, an induction or ceramic hob and a built-in hood. A single is £77. Add the hob at £23-28 and the hood at £28 and the kitchen is done in one visit.
Eltham and the suburbs
Out at SE9 the stock changes again. The Progress Estate off Well Hall Road went up in 1915 for skilled workers at the Woolwich Arsenal, over a thousand cottage-style houses in a single year, and the wider Eltham and Kidbrooke streets fill out with 1930s semis. These kitchens usually hold a freestanding cooker or a mid-range built-in.
Getting the van close
Parking matters because the racks and shelves ride to the tank and back. The Royal Borough runs over fifty controlled parking zones, most now charged on the vehicle's emissions, and its wider "sustainable streets" CPZ push was largely scrapped late in 2025, kept only in Woolwich while Kidbrooke, Blackheath and Charlton were dropped. So the town-centre kerbside near Greenwich and Woolwich is tight, the suburban roads out in Eltham and Charlton are easier, and the whole borough sits inside the ULEZ since August 2023. - Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in a heated tank in the van while the cavity, fan cover and glass are cleaned by hand indoors with non-caustic products.

Prices are fixed on the phone, with no premium-area surcharge and no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular, which runs from the Woolwich Ferry through Woolwich Common and Eltham. The double oven is £110 and the range rate covers the 90cm cookers on the hill.

End of tenancy work
The rental churn is heaviest along the riverside, where thousands of the new flats are let rather than owned. A landlord or outgoing tenant wants a heat-tested oven signed off before the inventory check, and on an integrated single that is the £77 job. We book those seven days a week.

Will there be a smell after you clean the oven?
No. Only the removable parts go in the tank. The cavity and door glass are degreased by hand with non-caustic products, so no caustic fume is left behind.
