New Beckenham centres on the Copers Cope Road Conservation Area, sixteen large period houses with deep front gardens, put up when the Copers Cope farmland was sold for high-class housing from 1870. The three-storey Victorian and Edwardian semis along there were built by a local firm, Syme and Duncan, with bay windows and carved wooden porches, and because so many were split into flats decades ago, one address that was a single household now holds several separate kitchens. In the conversions it is a single at £77, often a checkout clean because these flats turn over with the rental market. Where a family kept the full house we sometimes find a range at £114.

- Racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors, so no smell after.
- Double oven
- A main cavity and a smaller top oven or grill in one unit. Both are cleaned, along with the door glass between them, in about two hours.
Parking by the station
Copers Cope Road and the conservation streets have driveways, so a van pulls off the road and the carry stays short. Nearer New Beckenham station the side roads get tighter. It is all ULEZ, on both the SE20 and BR3 sides. No call-out fee inside the North and South Circular, and no premium here.
