At the 2021 Census the output area that covers Ruxley Corner and the Bromley side of Maidstone Road held just 141 households. The old buildings of Upper Ruxley
Ruxley Farmhouse, off Maidstone Road, is 18th-century red brick: two storeys and an attic, with hipped dormers in a tiled roof. Beside it stands the Old Church of St Botolph, 13th-century flint and stone rubble. It is thought to have stopped being a church in the 16th century, became a barn in the late 18th and gained an oast kiln in the early 19th, yet its 13th-century piscina and double sedilia are still inside. The ruin is a scheduled monument as well as listed.
Down at Ruxley Corner, the frontage of the Richard Klinger gasket factory on Edgington Way was finished in 1937 to designs by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners. Its central tower held the water tanks, and the second floor was a company flat for visiting Austrian executives.

Where do the racks get cleaned?
Racks, trays, side runners and the fan cover come out and are soaked and cleaned separately. Some teams have a heated tank on the van and use it when they can park close; otherwise everything is done in the kitchen. The price is the same either way, and you can ask when you book. The cavity and door glass are cleaned by hand, normally in the kitchen.
What happens before we leave?
The oven goes back together and is heated, and you inspect it. If a corner is not right when you look at the lit oven, we put it right there and then.
