Where we work
Most of our week runs through the Victorian terraces between the commons, the family houses off Bedford Hill in Balham, and the new towers around Nine Elms. The borough covers all of SW11 and SW18, plus the Wandsworth slices of SW12, SW15, SW17 and SW19. That takes in Battersea, Clapham Junction, Balham, Putney, Tooting, Wandsworth Town, Earlsfield and Southfields. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
Clapham Junction sits in the middle of it. It is the busiest railway interchange in the country, and the grid around it, from Northcote Road down toward Broomwood Road, is some of our steadiest oven work.
The two Wandsworths
The kitchens split into two kinds. In the big double-fronted houses on the Heaver fringe, around Nightingale Lane and up through Southfields, you get freestanding range cookers and the occasional two-oven AGA, because the families here have the floor space for them. Those take the longest and reward the dip-tank most, since a 90cm range has a lot of removable steel.
The other Wandsworth is the flats. Nine Elms and the Battersea Power Station development are almost all new-build apartments with a single integrated oven behind a fitted door, and the conversion flats off Garratt Lane and Balham High Road run the same. A single integrated oven is a ninety-minute job. The range in a house nearer two hours.
A 90cm range has a lot of removable steel, and that is exactly what the tank is for.
Parking and the van
Parking is a real operational fact here, not a footnote. Almost the whole borough is a controlled parking zone, so a technician has to land a permit-bay or pay-and-display space close enough to ferry racks and shelves out to the heated tank in the van. The whole of Wandsworth is inside the expanded ULEZ as well, at £12.50 a day for a non-compliant vehicle, which is one reason a settled local firm beats someone driving in from outside. New developments are often carved out of the CPZ, so in parts of Nine Elms the nearest legal space is a short walk.
How the clean works
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in the heated tank. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no lingering chemical smell when we leave. The door is split where the design allows, then the oven is heat-tested and signed off. If you have a wall of appliances, our double oven service covers the second cavity and grill on the same visit.
Prices
Prices are fixed and quoted on the phone. There is no premium-area surcharge, so a single oven in a Nine Elms flat and one in a terrace off Northcote Road cost the same.

Common questions
Do you cover the new Battersea Power Station flats?
Yes. Those integrated single ovens are a common job for us, and the fixed £77 applies. The only thing to check is where we can park, since parts of Nine Elms sit outside the resident permit zones.
Can you clean a two-oven AGA?
We do, and they turn up more often here than people expect in the larger houses near the commons and on the Heaver streets. An AGA is £143 and is heat-tested before we go.
Is there a surcharge for Putney or between the commons?
No. The price list is the same borough-wide. A single oven is £77 whether you are on the riverside in Putney or in a conversion flat in Tooting.
How long will the technician need?
About ninety minutes for a single oven, roughly two hours for a double or a range. We give you a window when you book so you are not waiting around all day.
