Where we work in the borough
Kensington and Chelsea is the wealthiest ground we cover, and one of the most mixed once you get past the front doors. A morning can be a two-oven AGA in a stucco house off Cheyne Walk, the same afternoon an integrated single in a rented flat on the Cremorne Estate in SW10. We run the whole borough: SW3, SW5, SW7 and SW10 in the south, W8, W10 and W11 to the north. That is Chelsea and the King's Road, Kensington and Knightsbridge, Notting Hill and Earls Court, and the estates around Golborne Road in North Kensington.
The kitchens we meet
The stock swings hard from street to street. The prime pockets, much of Chelsea, Holland Park and the garden squares of Notting Hill, run to large period houses, which is why we clean more AGAs and Rangemasters here than in most boroughs. The mansion blocks around Queen's Gate, Cornwall Gardens and the King's Road hold high-ceilinged flats, often portered and up a lift, so the racks travel a fair way to the van. Then there is the other borough: ex-council flats on estates like Lancaster West and around Trellick Tower in W10, and the Earls Court conversions in SW5, where a single integrated oven is the usual job.
How the dip-tank clean works
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so no chemical smell is left after. Where the door allows it, we split it to clean between the glass, then heat-test and sign the oven off before we leave. A single takes about ninety minutes, a double roughly two hours.
Parking, permits and ULEZ
Parking is a genuine part of the working day here. RBKC is not split into lettered zones the way most boroughs are, so a resident permit works borough-wide, but the controlled hours still bite and the single yellows are restricted through the day, typically 8:30am to 6:30pm. The King's Road is a red route with no stopping in business hours, so we work the side streets off it. The mews off Kensington Church Street are tight, and Portobello Road on a Saturday runs as a market from 8:30am, so we schedule around it. The whole borough has sat inside the ULEZ since October 2021, and our vans meet it.
Prices
Prices are fixed and quoted on the phone, with no premium-area surcharge, so a single oven in a Chelsea townhouse is the same £77 as one in an Earls Court bedsit. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.

Move-out and end-of-tenancy work
A large share of our borough bookings are move-outs. Earls Court has been a churn of studios and one-bed conversions for decades, and the serviced flats at Chelsea Cloisters on Sloane Avenue turn over constantly, each with a little combination oven and hob to hand back clean. Letting agents around Milner Street and the King's Road hold the oven to the check-out inventory, and it is often the line that decides the deposit. The fixed price list is what the inventory clerk will hold you to.

Do you charge more in Chelsea or Knightsbridge?
No. The price is set by the appliance, not the postcode. A single oven is £77 whether it sits in a Holland Park villa or a North Kensington flat.
Can you clean an AGA or a Rangemaster?
Yes, we clean plenty here. A two-oven AGA is £143 and a 90cm range is £114, both cleaned without caustic on the enamel.
What about a portered block with a lift?
Routine here. We carry the lift-out parts down to the van and back, so a fourth-floor flat off Queen's Gate is no harder for us than a ground-floor kitchen.
