Parking in Putney's zone A
Putney is zone A on Wandsworth's zone pages, split into six subzones with very different hours. A1 and A2 run 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday. A4, and parts of A5 and A6, are permit-only for one hour on weekday mornings, 9.30am to 10.30am. Shoppers' pay-and-display bays allow 30 minutes on Lower Richmond Road and an hour in the roads off Putney High Street, and permits are not valid in them.
Neither shoppers' bay is long enough for an oven clean. On Putney High Street the council's search lists maximum stays of one and two hours in A1, and on Lower Richmond Road two and four hours, so look for a longer-stay bay; in a one-hour subzone, a booking that starts after 10.30am avoids the control. Give us the street when you call, and check the sign on your road.
