Most of our Tooting Bec work is the Victorian and Edwardian terraces on the roads west of the Common, around Franciscan Road, Brudenell Road and Rectory Lane. A lot of those houses have had a side-return kitchen extension put in, which changes the job in a small but real way: the oven is usually a smart integrated single set into a new run of units. We work around the fitted cabinets and take the removable parts out to the van.
Shelves, trays and side runners soak in the heated dip-tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand with non-caustic products. No chemical smell left behind, which people notice in a knocked-through kitchen open to the family space.
Parking and the C4 zone
The streets by the Common sit in the Wandsworth and Tooting Bec parking zone, which runs 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. That covers our whole working day, so on a weekday we either pay for a visitor bay or you arrange a visitor permit for the slot. Weekends are free on most of these roads. Tell us the road when you book and we plan the parking, because ferrying racks to the van is a genuine part of the job here.

What the terrace kitchens need
The extended terraces here often pair a single oven with a five-burner gas hob and a wide extractor, and we do all three in one visit. A single oven is £77 and takes about ninety minutes; add the hob at £23–28 and the extractor hood at £28. If you have kept the original range in an unextended house, we clean that too. For the hob and extractor add-on prices just ask when you call.
Do you cover both sides of the Common?
Yes. The terraces west of Tooting Bec Common, the roads toward Tooting Broadway and the streets by the Lido are all SW17, covered seven days a week.
My oven is built into the units. Can you still clean it?
Yes. We take out the shelves and runners to soak in the van and hand-clean the cavity in place, so nothing caustic touches your new kitchen.
Can you come at the weekend?
Yes, seven days. Weekends also avoid the weekday parking zone on the roads by the Common.
How long does a single oven take?
About ninety minutes. A double is closer to two hours. We heat-test and sign off the oven before we leave.
