The ward holds two eras of kitchen at once
The Winstanley and York Road Estate takes up a big slice of Latchmere, about 1,419 homes between Falcon Road and Plough Road, and Wandsworth Council has it part-way through a rebuild with Taylor Wimpey meant to end with up to 2,550 homes on the same site. So the work splits. Older blocks such as Sporle Court and Kiloh Court tend to have freestanding cookers with loose shelves. The new flats rising next to them have integrated single ovens dropped into a run of units.
Both get the same treatment.
Parking is a permit question before it is anything else
Wandsworth runs lettered zones across Battersea and the hours are not uniform: B8 is controlled from 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday, while B1 and B6 only apply between 9.30am and 4.30pm on weekdays, and B5 and B9 are permit-holders only. Visitors get four hours in most of the rest. The van carries the heated tank, so it needs to sit near the door. The council does sell tradesman permits.
What a clean costs in SW11
No Battersea premium and no call-out fee inside the South Circular. Up the hill towards the old Battersea Town Hall, now the Battersea Arts Centre at the Lavender Hill crossroads with Latchmere Road, the terraces are period stock and a 90cm cooker turns up far more often than it does on the estate. If that is you, the range cooker clean is the one to ask for.

End-of-tenancy work follows Clapham Junction
Clapham Junction sits on the southern edge of the ward, and the letting agents cluster along St John's Road because of it. The oven is what the inventory clerk photographs first. A single takes about ninety minutes.
Do you use caustic oven chemicals in the flat?
No. The racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out to the tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no smell left behind.
Can you get to a flat on the Winstanley Estate with the van?
Yes. We park on the street rather than in an undercroft, since a dip-tank van is tall and height barriers rule most of those out anyway.
Is the oven usable straight after?
Yes. We heat-test it before we leave and sign it off with you standing there. You can cook that evening.
Do you do the hob and hood on the same visit?
Usually, if you say so when booking. A hob is £23–28 depending on type and an extractor hood is £28.
