The streets west of Frances Street are ordinary Victorian suburban terraces, built up from the 1850s on the old Ogilby estate after the naval dockyard closed in 1869. We slide it out where we can, then lift the racks and trays into the heated tank on the van. The terraces and the riverside blocks
Nearer the Thames, the newer half is Royal Arsenal Riverside, the Berkeley development running to thousands of flats with mostly integrated single fan ovens, and because so many of those blocks are car-free and let out, the rental churn keeps end-of-tenancy cleans steady, a terrace one week and a Riverside flat the next.
The Woolwich Dockyard parking zone
The WD controlled parking zone runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, across streets like Frances Street, Hillreach, Rushgrove Street, Maryon Road and Red Barracks Road. A technician buys a short stay or parks on the wider road and carries the parts to the door. We do not pass a parking cost on to you.
Woolwich Dockyard station sits in Zone 3, and the Elizabeth line now runs from Woolwich a short way east.
