Wilmington has three secondary schools on its west side: the boys' grammar school and Leigh Academy Wilmington on Common Lane, and the girls' grammar school at Wilmington Grange on Parsons Lane. Church Hill's 1930s houses
Wilmington House was built early in the 18th century, and its grounds kept the land around it free of major development until the mid-1930s, when the grounds in front of the house were sold. A planning application from about 1935 shows Church Walk being laid out. Cooper Estates Ltd built much of the housing in the conservation area in the mid to late 1930s, on Church Hill, Church Walk and the High Road, and the land that had belonged to the house filled within two or three years. The appraisal lists brick, white-painted render and plain tiled roofs, with some of the original steel windows since replaced in uPVC. The area was designated the Church Hill Wilmington conservation area on 7 September 1998, and the A2 marks its southern boundary, cutting it off from the rest of the High Road.
A kitchen in a house of that age has often been refitted, so the oven is whatever went in at the last refit: an eye-level double, a single under the worktop, sometimes a pyrolytic model. Yes. It needs to be cool when we get there, so give it a few hours to cool after its last use. We also need a working socket and somewhere for the team to park.
Can you come at the weekend?
Yes, seven days a week, and a weekend visit costs the same as a weekday one.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
