Getting the racks to the van
Parking on the valley floor is tight where Godstone Road narrows near Whyteleafe and Whyteleafe South stations, and that same stretch is the part that floods after heavy rain, so we usually park in a side road and walk in. Higher up, the gradient is the work: the technician carries the racks up to the van rather than down, which is why it helps to tell us if you are on one of the steep hill roads when you book.
