RM20 is a small residential place inside a large industrial one. The chalk pits became the shopping centre
Lakeside was built in a worked-out chalk quarry. The same digging took Belmont Castle, a neo-Gothic mansion put up in 1795 and pulled down in 1943 so the chalk under it could be got at. St Clement's, the old parish church, still stands near the industry and appeared in Four Weddings and a Funeral, with a modern replacement church on London Road. Thurrock is a Saxon word for the bottom of a ship.
The van carries the tank, not your kitchen

The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so nothing is left smelling of chemicals, and the oven is heat-tested and signed off before we drive away.
