The controlled parking zone here is Ealing's Zone Z, and it runs Monday to Friday for two single hours: 10am to 11am, then 2pm to 3pm. The Hanger Hill Garden Estate sets the kitchen sizes
The estate went up in two phases between 1928 and 1936, mock-Tudor throughout, designed by Douglas Smith and Barley and made a conservation area in 1969. It runs to houses plus 18 blocks of flats in lawned gardens, with private service roads behind them. Flat kitchens there are small and still original in plan, so what we usually find is a 60cm built-in single, or a freestanding cooker wedged into a galley. The shelves, side runners and trays come out and soak in the heated tank in the van, which keeps the worst of the mess out of a galley kitchen that has nowhere to put a dismantled oven and no spare worktop to stand it on.

The houses take bigger cookers
The houses are a different job. Three-bed semis on Noel Road list at around £825,000 and tend to have a kitchen worth the name, often extended at the back, which is where the wider cookers turn up. If you have a 90cm Rangemaster or Falcon on Princes Gardens or Queens Drive it is the 90cm range cooker clean at £114 you want, not the £110 double.
Can you park on the estate service roads?
Those are private and narrow, so we use the street. Zone Z bays are fine outside the two control hours, and we sort out the rest with you when you book.
Do you do the flats as well as the houses?
Both. Most flat kitchens on the estate come to a single oven at £77, ninety minutes or so.
Will the kitchen smell afterwards?
No. The heated tank does its work in the van. Indoors we degrease the cavity, fan cover and door glass by hand with non-caustic products, then heat-test the oven and sign it off before we leave.
Is West Acton inside the ULEZ?
Yes, all of Ealing is. It changes nothing about what you pay, and there is no call-out fee this side of the North Circular.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
