Well Hill has no parish of its own. Its lanes, Well Hill, Pump Lane and Rock Hill, are in Shoreham parish in Sevenoaks District, Kent, while Hollybush Lane, a few hundred metres west, is already in the London Borough of Bromley. The postcode is Orpington's BR6 on both sides of the line.

The census output area that holds Well Hill's Kent postcodes had about 107 households in 2021, so the figures are small.
