Most of our Wapping work is the warehouse conversions along the river and the flats behind them. Olivers Wharf on Wapping High Street was the first of the old Victorian warehouses to become homes, and Great Jubilee Wharf on Wapping Wall and Ivory House at St Katharine Docks followed the same pattern. These are big loft flats with the kitchen built into a corner of an open space, so the oven is an integrated single more often than not, with an induction or ceramic hob and a built-in hood alongside. Conversions and dock flats
In a converted wharf the removable parts, the shelves, trays and side runners, lift out and go into the heated tank in the van, and the cavity, fan cover and inner door glass are degreased by hand with non-caustic products indoors. Because the kitchen sits in the open loft rather than behind a door, the no-smell part matters. On an integrated single the door splits where the design allows so the back glass is reached, and the hob and hood are done in the same visit. That is the £77 clean; a fitted double is £110.

Prices are fixed on the phone with no surcharge for a riverside E1W address, so a wharf flat with a Thames view pays the same £77 as a flat off Wapping Lane. Range cookers and AGAs are rare in the loft conversions, but the rates hold if one has gone into a larger duplex.
Parking the cobbles
Parking is a genuine operational fact in Wapping, because the racks ferry to the tank and back. The residential streets off Wapping High Street sit in parking Zone C and are almost all permit-controlled with very few visitor bays, and the lanes are narrow and cobbled, so the van needs a planned spot. There is no Underground and no DLR here, only the Overground at Wapping station on the Windrush line, which keeps car use higher than in better-connected parts of the borough. E1W is inside the ULEZ.
