Wanstead Park station sits on the Overground Suffragette line, in Forest Gate, about 360 yards from Forest Gate station, and most of our work here is the Aldersbrook Estate behind it. That estate is over a thousand Edwardian houses built between 1899 and 1910, a conservation area since 2002. Kitchens run from smaller terrace ovens on the main streets up to the larger detached houses along the edge, sold with views over the Flats, where a range cooker or a two-oven AGA turns up.
The oven mix around here
The Edwardian stock means a lot of freestanding cookers and older built-in singles, and because the estate has an Article 4 direction protecting the fronts, people tend to stay put and keep the kitchen for years, which is exactly when an oven builds up the baked-on carbon that needs a proper strip rather than a wipe. The trays, shelves and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass get degreased by hand with non-caustic products. No smell after. A single starts at £77 and runs about ninety minutes. The detached houses on the Flats edge sometimes have a two-oven cast-iron cooker, and those are the AGA clean at £143, which takes longer because every part comes out and soaks.
Working the Forest Gate and Wanstead border
The name confuses people. Wanstead Park station is not in Wanstead and not next to the park; it is in Forest Gate, near the Flats, and the boundary with Wanstead runs just north. We cover both sides.
Do you clean AGAs on the Aldersbrook Estate?
Yes. The larger detached houses on the estate edge sometimes have a two-oven cast-iron cooker, and we clean those at £143, parts soaked in the van tank.
My oven has not been cleaned in years. Can you still get it right?
Usually. The dip tank shifts long-baked carbon off the removable parts, and the cavity and glass are done by hand, so an oven left for years comes back to a proper standard.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
