The Eades, two build-to-rent towers of 34 and 27 storeys on Selborne Road, next to Walthamstow Central station, was finished in September 2025.
New flats over the Mall on Selborne Road
The towers are part of the rebuild of the Mall that the council lists as 17 and Central. Planning permission came in January 2021, and the approved plans provide 538 homes to rent, 99 of them below market rent, and enable a potential new step-free entrance to the Underground station at the Mall's door. New London Architecture's project listing counts 495 build-to-rent homes in the two towers.
A flat in a new tower is likely to have a built-in single oven, and some of those are pyrolytic. Height makes no difference to the method. Renting and owning either side of the tracks
The 2021 Census was taken before the towers were finished, and the small census areas on each side of the station looked quite different. In the output area around Selborne Road and the station, 107 of 171 households (62.6%) rented privately; 94 lived in a purpose-built flat and 44 in a commercial building, such as a flat over a shop. Just south of the railway, by Station Approach, it was the other way round: 135 of 208 households owned their flat or house, 105 of them with a mortgage, and only 40 rented privately.
Where most homes are let, as in the first of those areas, an oven clean is often booked for the end of a tenancy. Agents can have the invoice in the agency's name, photos for the checkout file and keys collected from an empty flat by arrangement. Seven-day parking controls round the station
On the council's map, the streets each side of Hoe Street at the station are in two zones with the same hours. High Street (HST), west of Hoe Street and covering the Selborne Road side, and Walthamstow Central (WSC), east of it up towards Church Hill and Vestry Road, are both controlled Monday to Saturday 8am to 9.30pm and Sunday 10am to 9.30pm. Village North (VN), just south-east of the station, runs every day from 7.30am to 10.30pm. Markhouse (MH), to the south-west, is Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm.
So on the streets either side of Hoe Street every day has controlled hours, and the team needs somewhere legal to park. The council's map says to check the signs on the street for the restrictions before parking. Weekend visits cost the same as weekdays.

Yes, at the weekday price. Near the station the zones are in force on Sundays from 10am, so check the signs on your street for the hours.
Is this the same area as Walthamstow Queens Road?
No. Walthamstow Queens Road station is about 400 metres to the west.
