The mansion blocks off Victoria Street are the bulk of our SW1 work. Artillery Mansions, Ashley Gardens and Morpeth Terrace behind Westminster Cathedral were built in the 1880s and 1890s as purpose-built flats, and the service kitchens in many are still compact, which means a freestanding single oven or a slim built-in rather than a wide range. Nearer Pimlico we get ex-local-authority blocks and Victorian conversions, and along the Belgravia edge a few larger flats run a 90cm range.
How the clean works here
We use the dip-tank. Racks, shelves, trays and the side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van, while the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products. No chemical smell after. The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go.
A single takes about ninety minutes. A double is nearer two hours.

Parking around Victoria
Westminster runs one of the tighter parking regimes in London, and the Congestion Charge applies here every day, so the van needs a plan before it arrives. Zone H on-street disappeared during the Victoria Station works, and the streets around Victoria Street and Buckingham Gate carry loading restrictions, so ferrying the racks to the tank can mean a short walk from a legal bay. We sort that in advance.
