London Oven Cleaners clean ovens in Valentines from £77. After the oven is rebuilt and heated you look inside, and if any corner is not right we clean it again there and then.
At the 2021 Census, 25.5% of households in Valentines ward lived in part of a converted or shared house, roughly one in four. Only 32.8% had a terraced house to themselves, and 22.0% lived in a purpose-built block of flats.
Streets between Cranbrook Road and Ley Street
The ward takes its name from Valentines Park, which the town opened in 1899 as Central Park, and from Valentines Mansion inside it, a Grade II* listed house of the late 17th century that was largely rebuilt in the 18th. South of the park, the Victoria County History records that the Ilford Lodge estate, north of the High Road between Cranbrook Road and Ley Street, was bought for building in 1883 by J. W. Hobbs, a builder associated with Jabez Balfour, and that by 1903 most of the streets between Cranbrook Road, Ley Street and the park had been laid out, though not completely built up. Wellesley Road, Melbourne Road and Brisbane Road are in that area today. West of Cranbrook Road the ward reaches Northbrook Road, Selborne Road and Mansfield Road.
Many of the houses in these streets have since been split into flats. A house divided into an upper and a lower flat usually has two small kitchens, often with the upstairs one fitted into a former bedroom, and each will have its own oven.

- Converted flat
- Part of a house that was built for one family and later divided. Kitchens tend to be small, and the upstairs flat has an inside staircase but no lift.
- Purpose-built flat
- A flat in a block designed as flats from the start. The kitchen usually has a built-in single under the worktop, and many blocks have a lift.
For a top-floor flat the racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, while the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased in the kitchen. Tell us the floor when you book. The preparing for your oven clean guide lists what to clear beforehand.

Licensing Scheme 3 and the private rented sector
Private renting is the largest tenure in the ward: 46.8% of its 4,745 households rented privately in 2021, against 44.2% who owned their home. Valentines and its neighbour Ilford Town make up Redbridge's selective licensing Scheme 3, which runs from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2028 and started five months ahead of the 15-ward Scheme 4. Under it, most homes let to a single household need a licence from the council.
Checkouts come round often in a ward like this. For agents and landlords, the invoice can be made out to the agency, photos of the finished oven can go in the checkout file, and keys for an empty flat can be picked up by arrangement. The Ilford page covers the town centre side.
Zone Ilford D, west of Cranbrook Road
On Redbridge's permit zone map, the streets just west of Cranbrook Road, including the southern end of Northbrook Road, Selborne Road and Mansfield Road, are in zone Ilford D, controlled from 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Wellesley Road, Melbourne Road and Brisbane Road, on the east side, were outside every zone on the map. In zone D, parking in those hours needs a permit, and the council issues visitor permits. Please check the signs on your road too.
Valentines oven questions
There are two flats in our house. Can both ovens be cleaned on the same day?
Yes. Book them together and each oven is priced on its own.
We live on Selborne Road, in zone Ilford D. Is Sunday any different?
Yes. The zone is not controlled on Sundays, and a Sunday visit is the same price as a weekday.
Does my flat in Valentines need a licence before you clean it?
The licence is the landlord's business and has nothing to do with the clean, but most single-household lets in the ward do need one under Scheme 3.
What do you need from me on the day?
The oven cool, a working socket, and a note of the floor and the nearest place to park.

What customers tell us
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
Brilliant clean, my oven looks like brand new. A 5 star clean.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
