Most of our UB8 work is the terraced housing on Belmont Road and Harefield Road, plus the newer flats nearer the Uxbridge tube terminus. Belmont Road houses have been changing hands around £615,000, so the kitchens have usually been redone at least once, and a rear extension with a freestanding cooker in it is the normal find. Belmont Road, Harefield Road and the streets off Uxbridge Common
Uxbridge Common is about 15 acres and straddles Park Road north of the town centre, and the roads either side of it hold the older stock. Plenty of Rangemaster and Smeg 90cm ranges in those extensions, usually with a wok burner nobody has touched. Racks, shelves, trays and side runners go into the heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products.

Hillingdon calls them Parking Management Schemes, not CPZs
The plates here say Parking Management Scheme. Residents at the town-centre end of Harefield Road petitioned the council in February 2022 to have the scheme's operating times reviewed, because the controls stopped early and there was nowhere left to put a car. We check the plate on the day. North Common Road is usually easier. Hillingdon has been inside the ULEZ since 29 August 2023, when the zone went London-wide barely a month after the Uxbridge and South Ruislip by-election that turned on it, so the van is compliant and nothing is added to your bill.
End-of-tenancy ovens around Brunel
Brunel University sits a mile or so south, and the six and seven-bed student houses off Cowley Road turn over every summer. Those ovens get a hard year. Letting agents book us in the last week of the tenancy; we heat-test the oven and sign it off before we go.

How long does a single oven take?
About ninety minutes. A double is nearer two hours, longer if the door needs splitting.
Will the kitchen smell of chemicals afterwards?
No. The soaking happens in the tank out in the van, and indoors we work by hand with non-caustic products, so you can cook that evening.
Can you clean a hob and hood on the same visit?
Yes. A hob is £23–28 depending on the type and an extractor hood is £28. Say so when you call.
