Green Street splits our Upton Park work in two. On one side of it sit the Victorian terraces off Queens Road, near the covered market, where the cooker is usually a freestanding gas or electric model that has fed a large family for years. On the other side is the Upton Gardens development on the old Boleyn Ground, where West Ham played until 2016, and those flats came with integrated single fan ovens behind a matching cabinet door. The two jobs are not the same. Either way the loose parts soak in the heated tank in the van, and the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell left behind.

Parking off Green Street and Queens Road
Green Street and Barking Road (A124) are too busy to work from, and the Queens Road market end has loading limits most of the day. We use the terrace streets running off them, and around the new development there is off-street space. On a home match legacy day traffic can be slow near the old ground, so we time E13 jobs to miss it.

Is there a surcharge for E6 or E13?
No. Upton Park sits inside the North and South Circular, so no call-out fee and no premium for the postcode. You pay the list price.
Do you clean the integrated ovens in the new flats?
Yes. An integrated single oven is £77, the same as a freestanding one. We work around the cabinet door and clean the cavity, fan cover and glass in place.
Can the racks really come out to the van?
Yes. Shelves, trays and side runners lift out and go into the heated tank in the van. Only the fixed cavity is cleaned by hand indoors.
Will the kitchen smell of chemicals after?
No. The heavy work happens in the tank outside, and what we use indoors is non-caustic. The oven is heat-tested before we sign it off.
