Upton Park oven cleaning from £77 with London Oven Cleaners. You inspect the reassembled, heated oven, and anything you query is put right before we go.
Upton Park took its name from a housing estate. Building began in 1883, when the Plashet House estate between St Stephen's Road and Plashet Grove was sold, and that estate, with the streets next to it in East and West Ham, became known as Upton Park. Plashet House, home of the Fry family from 1784 to 1829, was pulled down at about the same time.
Terraces either side of Green Street
Green Street was the old boundary between the parishes of West Ham and East Ham, and Upton Park still sits across it, with E13 postcodes on the station side and E6 to the east. The Victoria County History describes the new estates at Upton Park and Plashet as long terraces of small but well-built houses for clerks and skilled workers.
East of Green Street, in Green Street East ward, 45.4% of the 4,437 households lived in a terraced house at the 2021 Census and 11.4% in part of a converted house. The same ward had 45.7% renting privately and 39.9% owning, more than half of those outright. Terraced houses of this age often have a freestanding cooker in the kitchen.
Homes on the Boleyn Ground
West Ham United played at the Boleyn Ground from 1904 until 10 May 2016; the name came from Green Street House, known locally as Boleyn Castle, a mid-16th-century house that stood until 1955. The plan approved by Newham in 2016 for Barratt London and Galliard Homes was for 842 homes of one to four bedrooms, a quarter of them affordable. Thunderer Street is one of the new streets on the site.
A new flat like these normally has a built-in oven in a run of fitted units. The cleaning is the same in a flat or a terrace: dust sheets first, shelves, trays, side runners and fan cover out to be soaked and cleaned separately, then the cavity and door glass degreased by hand. The door is split where its design allows.

Parking after the football left
On Newham's zone map, Upton Park station and the streets round Plashet Grove and St Stephen's Road are in the Upton Park zone, controlled 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday. The new streets on the old ground are in Plaistow South, with the same hours. Neither is one of the five zones that get event-day rules now that West Ham play in Stratford. Permit hours stop on Sunday, but the council's pay-by-phone list shows Green Street's own bays charged seven days a week, 10am to 8pm. The team needs somewhere to park, so tell us the street.
Questions from Upton Park
My cooker is an old freestanding gas one. Can it be cleaned?
Yes. The racks and trays come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, the cavity is degreased by hand, and the gas hob on top can be added for £28.
I rent a flat on the old Boleyn Ground site. Can the agent be invoiced?
Yes. The invoice can go to the letting agency, with photos for the checkout file if they ask, and keys can be collected for an empty flat by arrangement.
Does a match day still affect parking here?
West Ham left the Boleyn Ground in 2016. Newham's five event-day zones are Stratford Central, Stratford North West, Stratford South West, Stratford South East and West Ham; Upton Park and Plaistow South are not among them.
What if I am not happy with a corner when I look?
It is cleaned again before we pack up. You see the oven lit before anyone leaves.
Said after the sign-off
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
I would certainly recommend this service, very efficient and good value for money. The young man did a great job and even cleaned the kitchen floor. Thank you.
