Upminster Bridge is street after street of 1930s semi-detached houses, built when the District line was pushed out to Upminster and this stretch filled in with interwar suburbia. The station opened in December 1934 on Upminster Road, a polygonal building by William Henry Hamlyn, and it is still one of the least-busy stops on the line. Prices are fixed on the phone with no premium for the postcode. If you have added a double in a rear extension, the double oven clean is £110 and covers both cavities and the grill.
Parking and the river boundary
The River Ingrebourne runs just east of the station and used to mark the old parish line between Hornchurch and Upminster, so the streets on the western Hornchurch side are where most of our RM12 calls sit. Havering is Outer London and outside the main ULEZ, so no daily charge applies. Parking on these roads is usually easy, though it tightens near the station in the daytime.
