Twickenham Stadium, which holds 82,000 for rugby, is on Whitton Road, and when a very large crowd is expected the council turns on a temporary parking zone round it, Zone R, from 11am to 11pm.
Booking around event days at the stadium
The council's event page, updated on 5 August 2026, says the full zone is usually brought in when more than 30,000 people are expected, and a small sub-zone by the ground when the crowd is around 30,000. Residents inside the zone can get free permits from the council for a year, and some roads near the stadium are closed around the start and end of an event. If you live inside Zone R, book the oven for another day, or have a visitor permit ready. The team needs somewhere to park, and a closed road rules that out.
New flats at Twickenham station
Twickenham station was rebuilt as Twickenham Gateway by a joint venture of Kier Property and Network Rail: a new station building on a public plaza with shops and a café, and 121 new one, two and three-bedroom homes. The sale of the last of the three residential blocks completed in July 2022, with 82 of the 121 homes going to Meadow Partners, a private real estate investment firm. New flats like these usually have an integrated single oven, cleaned in the kitchen while the racks are soaked and cleaned separately.
Cole Park Road and north Twickenham
Near the station, Cole Park Road curves along the River Crane. The estate was planned in 1897 and built between 1898 and 1920, mostly to designs by two architects, Lionel Littlewood and Richard W. Roe. Nos. 6 to 12 are Roe's: detached red-brick houses with gambrel roofs like an enlarged Dutch barn. The road became a conservation area in February 2019.

Questions about oven cleaning in Twickenham
