A lot of the recent building near West Hendon and Colindale has put up one, two and three-bed apartments, and those integrated ovens are the ones we clean most here. Integrated is no trouble for the tank method, since the removable parts still slide out and the fixed cavity is degreased by hand. Turnover in these blocks is quick, so end-of-tenancy work is steady.
How the clean is done
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass we degrease by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after, and the oven is heat-tested before we sign it off. Parking on the A5
Parking is a real part of the day here. The Hyde is a busy main road and you never stop the van on it, so we come off onto the side streets before the racks carry in. The Hyde Retail Park near the Rookery Way junction is the landmark most people give for directions. All of NW9 sits inside the ULEZ, and there is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
