Semis on Hayes Crescent and Hallswelle Road
A few minutes' walk west of the parade the homes are mostly houses. The Victoria County History records houses going up north and west of Temple Fortune from 1924, starting with Cranbourne Gardens and Park Way. In the census area round Hayes Crescent and Hallswelle Road (Barnet 035F), semi-detached and detached houses were 40.8% and 22.8% of the 551 households in 2021. Another 16.8% lived in a converted or shared house, and 46.1% of households rented privately.

Parking in Barnet's Temple Fortune zone
Barnet runs a Temple Fortune controlled parking zone, coded TF in the council's permit notices; in January 2026 it proposed adding Temple Fortune House and 25 Temple Fortune Lane to the addresses that can hold its permits. No hours appear in those notices, so check the signs on your road and tell us what they say. The Suburb Trust's appraisal notes some on-street parking for shoppers on Finchley Road, but the van stays for the whole clean, so tell us about parking near your door when you call.

A little, because of the trips up and down the stairs. A single still takes about 90 minutes, and dust sheets go down before anything comes out.
