Tattenham Corner station opened on 4 June 1901 at the end of the Chipstead Valley line. It closed in September 1914, saw only occasional race specials from 1920, and got a full public service back on 25 March 1928, when the line was electrified. It once had seven platforms; three are left.

Its 2024 to 2025 parking review put double yellow lines across the green island on Tattenham Grove next to Derby Close, to stop parking on the bend, and extended the lines on Merland Rise near Chetwode Road, where parked vehicles block the view for traffic turning out of Chetwode Road. Where does the work happen in a small flat?
The cavity and door glass are cleaned by hand, normally in your kitchen. The racks, trays, side runners and fan cover come out and are soaked and cleaned separately. The oven is then reassembled, heated and checked with you before we leave.

How long does a single oven take?
About 90 minutes on site, then the oven is heated and you look inside before we go.
