Tadworth station opened on 1 July 1900 as a temporary terminus, when the line was pushed on from Kingswood, and until 1 December 1968 it was called Tadworth and Walton-on-the-Hill.

The village is much older than its station. Tadworth Court, a country house of about 1700 in the English Baroque manner, is listed at Grade I and is now used by The Children's Trust.

On The Avenue the review lengthened the double yellow lines at the entrances to Tadworth Grove care home and Avenue Court, noting that the rest of the road has plenty of unrestricted parking. On Shelvers Hill it wrote the existing bays into the traffic order: Monday to Saturday, 8am to 4.30pm, one hour, no return within four hours. The single yellow lines on Ashurst Road, Shelvers Hill and Epsom Lane North became double lines, because parking there had grown since a new development. On Tadworth Street the lines at The Hoppety were extended, where a dashed white edge line had long been mistaken for a bay.
A one-hour bay is shorter than even a single oven takes, so near Shelvers Hill a drive or an unrestricted road nearby suits the van better.
