The Founding, Porter's Edge and the Marine Wharf blocks near Canada Water station almost all run the same kitchen: one integrated single oven under a ceramic hob, sometimes with a separate combi-microwave in the tall unit. That is the bulk of our SE16 diary now. Over on the ex-council side, around the Silwood Estate and Downtown Road, you get more freestanding cookers, and they tend to have had longer between cleans.
Parking here is a real factor. The Rotherhithe and Surrey Docks controlled parking zone, Zone S, runs 8:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday, and a separate Rotherhithe Village zone covers streets like Mayflower Street and St Marychurch Street, so we sort the van before the appointment. Racks, shelves and trays go into the heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products, and there is no chemical smell left in the flat.
The Canada Water new-build flats
Integrated single ovens are quick. About ninety minutes, and we heat-test before we sign off. If you have a built-in microwave in the same tower unit we can add that for £22 while we are there, which saves a second visit. Most of these flats are let through the agents in the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, Winkworth and KFH among them, so a lot of our calls here are end-of-tenancy.

Common questions
Do you clean the integrated ovens in the Canada Water developments?
Yes, that is most of our work here. We pull the racks and runners to soak in the van and hand-clean the cavity and glass in the flat. The oven goes back in and gets heat-tested before we leave.
Can you come at the weekend for an end-of-tenancy clean?
We work seven days. If the agent needs the flat back on a Monday, a Saturday or Sunday slot usually works.
How does parking work in Zone S?
We plan the van drop before we arrive, so parking is our problem, not yours. You do not need to hold a bay for us.
Do the older cookers near Silwood take longer?
Sometimes. A freestanding oven that has gone a while between cleans can need a heavier soak, but the price does not change. A single is £77 whatever state it is in.
