Most of our Streatham South work sits in the streets either side of Streatham Common. The late-Victorian red-brick terraces there run to three or four bedrooms and usually a big freestanding cooker, while the 1930s mansion blocks along Streatham Hill and the High Road have older built-in ovens behind Crittall windows. Nearer the Common itself, the detached houses on Streatham Common South are the ones where a range cooker or a wider kitchen turns up, and those we treat as a professional oven clean priced by cavity rather than a flat single.
Parking on the A23
The High Road is a red route. Streatham High Road is the A23, so the van never stops on it, and for a job on that stretch the technician parks on a side road and carries the racks, shelves and trays back to the heated tank. Streatham Vale got its new controlled parking zones X and Y from December 2025, which adds permit hours to those streets, so on a Vale job we plan the loading around the bays before we start.
The A23 is a red route, so the van works off the side streets, not the High Road.
Indoors the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand with non-caustic products, no chemical smell after, and the oven is heat-tested before it is signed off. A single takes about ninety minutes.

Common questions
Where do you park given the red route?
On the side streets off the High Road. The A23 has no stopping, so we load in from a nearby residential road and walk the trays to the van.
Do you cover the new Streatham Vale CPZ?
Yes. The X and Y zones came in from December 2025, and we work around the permit hours. There is no premium-area charge for SW16.
Can you clean the ovens in the Streatham Hill mansion blocks?
Yes. Those older built-in single ovens are £77, and the removable parts still lift out to soak while the cavity is done by hand.
How long does a single oven take?
About ninety minutes for a single, roughly two hours for a double, and it is heat-tested before we leave.
