The old marsh, mostly flats now
Stratford Marsh is the low ground west of the town centre, hemmed in by the Bow Back Rivers and the River Lea, and until the 2012 build-out it was industrial land and derelict wharves. Now most of our work here is new-build flats. The developments off Marshgate Lane and around Sugar House Island near Pudding Mill Lane DLR are full of fitted integrated single ovens, the sort tucked behind a matching cabinet door, and the kitchens are compact.
Those flats turn over fast. That means a steady run of end-of-tenancy oven cleans booked by letting agents before the next tenant, and a built-in single is by far the most common job. If that is your setup, our single oven cleaning takes care of the cavity, fan cover, door glass and runners for a fixed price, heat-tested before we leave.
Parking is a genuine factor. Stratford High Street, the A118, is a Transport for London road with red-route stretches where you cannot stop, and much of the surrounding area sits under a Newham controlled parking zone with ULEZ over the whole borough. The van meets ULEZ, and on the towers the technician carries only the racks and shelves down while the cavity is degreased in the flat.
How we clean it
Shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in a heated dip tank in the van. Inside the flat, the cavity, fan cover and inner door glass are cleaned by hand with non-caustic products, so a small kitchen is not left smelling of chemicals. The door is split to reach the middle pane where the design allows. Every oven is heat-tested and signed off. A single runs about ninety minutes, a double nearer two hours.

Do you clean integrated ovens in the new Sugar House Island flats?
Yes. Built-in single ovens in the Marshgate Lane and Sugar House Island blocks are most of our E15 work. The racks go to the van, the cavity is hand-cleaned in place.
Where can you park near Stratford High Street?
We work around the red-route stretches and use the side roads and estate parking. Tell us the block on booking and we sort the approach.
Will the flat smell of chemicals after?
No. The caustic soak stays sealed in the tank in the van. Indoors we use non-caustic products only.
Can agents book several flats at once?
Yes, and it is common here given the turnover. We work seven days and can block a run of check-outs together.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
