E20 was invented for the Olympic site in 2011, and East Village, the old 2012 Athletes' Village, is where most of our newer Stratford bookings sit. Around 7,000 people live in those blocks now, a lot of them renting through Get Living, and every flat runs a fitted single oven built into the units.
New towers and old terraces
Stratford is really two jobs under one name. The E20 towers, and the new blocks still going up towards the 30,000 homes planned across the site by 2030, are integrated single ovens, tidy outside and neglected inside the glass. A short walk west, past Westfield, the E15 terraces around Maryland station and off Leytonstone Road are freestanding cookers and ranges, often in a rented house.
Both fill up fast when people cook every day.
The van does the heavy soaking
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners go into a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass stay in the flat and get degreased by hand with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after we leave. Where the door allows, we split it and clear the film between the panes. Then it is heat-checked and signed off.
A single is about ninety minutes, a double nearer two hours.
Parking in E15 and E20
Parking varies street to street, and it matters because parts get carried back to the tank. The East Village zone is controlled seven days a week, 8am to 9pm, which is stricter than most of Newham, so on those roads we plan the loading before we arrive, whereas in the E15 terraces around Maryland the hours are shorter and a quiet bay is easier to find. All of Newham sits inside ULEZ.

Do you cover the East Village and Olympic Park flats?
Yes. E20 is a core part of our week. We are used to the managed blocks and sort lift access with the front desk.
Is my Maryland terrace oven a bigger job?
Not usually. Freestanding cookers and older doubles are straightforward. A double is £110, a 90cm range is £114.
Will the flat smell of chemicals after?
No. The strong soaking is in the tank in the van; indoors we use non-caustic products by hand.
Can you do a check-out clean quickly?
Often next day. Rental turnover here is high, so quick end-of-tenancy cleans are routine.
