Southfield is the only one of Chiswick's four wards that Ealing runs. Turnham Green, Chiswick Riverside and Chiswick Homefields all answer to Hounslow, and Southfield does not, so the parking regime, the permit prices and the person you complain to about the bay outside are all different on this side of the line. It matters for parking. It matters for nothing else, and the oven is the same oven.
One ward, the other council
The 2021 census put 16,475 people in 1.534 square kilometres here, which is a lot of kitchens per street, and it shows in what we get called to: long Victorian terraces subdivided into upper and lower flats, each with its own cooker, often two ovens to clean in one building on the same afternoon.
Kitchens around Southfield Road
Southfield Road runs the spine of it, past Southfield Recreation Ground, which sits on one of the four ancient fields of Acton and still has the tennis courts and the pitches on it. Around there the pattern is terraced, late Victorian, with a galley kitchen in the back addition. Freestanding cookers are still common in the flats. In the houses that have had the side return done, it is usually a built-in double, and the grease has had somewhere to hide for years behind the fan cover.
Up at the Ealing end of the Bedford Park conservation area, which falls in this ward, the houses get larger and the ranges start appearing. Those cost more time, not more courage. Our fixed price list covers the lot and nothing changes on the doorstep.

Questions from Southfield
Two flats in one house, can you do both?
Yes, and it is the sensible way to book it here. The tank is already hot and the van is already parked, so back-to-back cleans in the same terrace save everyone the worst part of the day.
Will the kitchen smell of oven cleaner?
No. The caustic work happens in a sealed tank in the van. Indoors we use non-caustic products on the cavity, fan cover and door glass, by hand.
Do you clean a freestanding cooker differently?
Mostly the same. We pull it out where the gas connection allows, do the sides and the top plate as well as the cavity, and push it back.
Is the price different because it is Ealing rather than Hounslow?

Brilliant clean, my oven looks like brand new. A 5 star clean.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
