Southall Green sits south of the Paddington railway line, around The Green itself and the Manor House that has stood there since 1587 and is listed Grade II*. The kitchen stock splits two ways. How long does a single oven take?
About ninety minutes. A double is nearer two hours: two cavities to degrease by hand, twice the ironmongery in the tank.
Will the flat smell of chemicals afterwards?
No. The caustic work happens in the tank in the van. Indoors we use non-caustic products on the cavity, the fan cover and the door glass, which matters in a small Havelock kitchen with the window shut.
Do you clean ovens for end of tenancy?
Yes, and a lot of the UB2 work is exactly that. We heat-test the oven and sign it off before leaving, so there is something to show the letting agent.
Can you take the door apart?
Where the design allows, yes. The glass gets split and cleaned on both inner faces. Some integrated models are bonded shut, and we will say so rather than force it.
