Most of our South Hampstead work is the red-brick mansion blocks and the big Victorian villas on Compayne Gardens, Greencroft Gardens, Fairhazel Gardens and Aberdare Gardens, built in the late 1880s and 1890s and long since carved into flats. How the clean is done
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass we degrease by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after, and the oven is heat-tested before we sign it off. A single takes about ninety minutes; a range is nearer two hours. Whichever oven you have, the professional oven cleaning is the same by-hand method inside the flat.
Parking on the mansion streets
Parking is the genuinely hard part of the day in South Hampstead. This is Camden, and the controlled parking runs on weekdays, so the mansion-block avenues fill with permit cars and a free space is rare between the morning and evening controls. The van takes a pay bay or a visitor bay and the racks carry in from there. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.

Seven days. Weekends are easier for parking on these streets, so they book up first.
