In the bigger Snaresbrook houses the kitchen was often extended and fitted with a 90cm range or a cast-iron AGA, and those are the jobs that take longest, because a range has more shelves and runners to soak and an AGA has to be worked cold and by hand across the enamel and the hotplates. The removable parts go in the van tank. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand with non-caustic product, so there is no chemical smell left in the kitchen. We heat-test the oven and sign it off before we leave.
Parking on the villa streets
Most Snaresbrook houses near the forest have off-street parking or a driveway, so we usually pull straight onto the property and the carry to the tank is short. On the streets closer to the Central line station, where it tightens up, we sort our own parking and get the van as near your door as the road allows.
Do you clean cast-iron AGAs as well as gas and electric ovens?
Yes. A two-oven AGA is £143. We work it cold, take out every removable part to soak, and clean the enamel and hotplates by hand.
Will the non-caustic method still shift heavy build-up?
Yes. The dip tank does the hard lifting on the racks and trays, and the hand products handle the cavity. Non-caustic means no fumes, not a weaker clean.
Is there a call-out fee or a premium-area surcharge in Snaresbrook?
