How we clean the oven
Shelves, trays, side runners and racks lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so nothing lingers once we go. The door is split where the design allows, to clear the film between the panes. We heat-test the oven and sign it off before leaving. A single is about ninety minutes, a double nearer two hours.
Ruislip is in Hillingdon, inside the London-wide ULEZ that has applied here since August 2023, so the van is compliant and no charge for it reaches you. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular. Parking on the Manor Homes roads is usually easy, so the racks travel a short distance to the tank. Ruislip Manor station puts the flats and shared houses off Victoria Road on a short walk to the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, so there is steady rental churn and a run of end-of-tenancy oven cleans through the summer.
