A local trader gave the land away in 1937
Thomas England was a trader and a councillor, and he wanted a green corridor through the borough, so in 1937 he handed over 23.5 acres for a park that would link Raphael Park to Bedfords Park and carry his Green Lung the whole way from Romford in the south up to Havering-atte-Bower in the north. The park opened that year with a play area and a paddling pool. A pavilion followed in 1964, along with wooden huts on the far side of the stream, and the place runs to about 24 acres today.
A blocked purchase order made this a private estate
The council meant to put council housing on this land. The order was blocked. That was 1953, and what went up instead was 400 houses for private sale, which is why Rise Park reads differently from a lot of postwar Havering: owner-occupied from the first day, sold off plan through local agents rather than allocated. Stock like that tends to mean a fitted rear kitchen refitted once or twice since, a built-under double oven or a freestanding cooker, and a hood that has been up there a while. An extractor hood in a Rise Park kitchen is £28 on top of the oven.
The park entrances name the streets
The southern way in sits just north of the A12 Eastern Avenue, the northern one is on Lower Bedfords Road, and there are four more at Beauly Way, Dee Way, Garry Close and Isbell Gardens. Those are the roads to quote when you book, because they tell us where to leave the van. Rise Park also had its own electoral ward on Havering Council between 1978 and 2002.

What comes out of the oven and what stays in?
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in the heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass stay put and are degreased by hand with non-caustic products.
Do you split the door glass?
Where the design allows it, yes. That is the part an inventory clerk looks at first.
How long for a single oven?

Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
