Buildings like that, and the period conversions along Petersham Road, drop modern integrated ovens into rooms that were never built as kitchens. Tight cavity, limited clearance, no realistic chance of pulling the appliance forward. Cavity, fan cover and door glass get degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no caustic spray near a listed interior and no chemical smell once we have gone.
Above Terrace Gardens and around Richmond Gate, a range cooker or a proper cast-iron cooker is a real possibility rather than a rarity. If yours is a two-oven AGA, that is £143 and it takes most of a morning.

A visitor voucher for Zone A2 helps if you have one. If not, the technician sorts a bay and pays by phone. On a Sunday the zone is not operating, so it is a non-issue.
Will the smell linger in a flat with no through draught?

How long does a double oven take?
