Peckham Place, at 151A Queen's Road near the station, was completed in January 2021 on the site of the 1960s Wooddene estate. Caroline Gardens, off Asylum Road
North of the station, off Asylum Road, Caroline Gardens is a much older group. It was built in phases between 1827 and 1866 as the Licensed Victuallers' Asylum, a group of almshouses with a chapel at its centre. The houses are two storeys, modest in scale, with palace-fronted facades, and Southwark made the group a conservation area on 27 September 1968.

Zone QR, 1pm to 3pm
Zone QR is a recent one: Southwark's May 2024 notice proposed it as a new controlled parking zone in the Queen's Road area. The council's zone list gives its hours as 1pm to 3pm, Monday to Friday. That notice named Burchell Road, Carlton Grove, King's Grove, Montpelier Road and Wood's Road as its permit streets, and treated Asylum Road (at Station Passage), Hollydale Road and Lugard Road as outside it, so the streets right by the station may not be in a zone at all; read the signs there. Nearby zones have longer hours: B (Peckham) runs Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 6.30pm, and T (Trafalgar) Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm, so check the sign on your own street.
