Most of our Poplar work splits two ways: the Festival-of-Britain flats around Chrisp Street Market and the Lansbury Estate, and the new towers that have gone up along Aspen Way towards Canary Wharf. The estate kitchens tend to be older freestanding cookers that nobody has touched in years. How the clean runs in E14
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners go into a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass stay in the kitchen and get degreased by hand with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell left behind. We split the door where the design allows. Before we pack up we run the oven, check it heats and sign it off.

Parking around Poplar High Street
Parking is the part of an E14 job we plan for. Tower Hamlets runs its controlled zones seven days a week, 8:30am to 10pm, so there is no quiet Sunday loophole here, and on the terraced roads between Poplar High Street and East India Dock Road the kerb is tight enough that we sometimes carry parts thirty or forty metres back to the tank. On the estates off Chrisp Street we usually find a bay.
The tank lives in the van, so the mess and the fumes never come into your flat.

Do you cover the new blocks near Canary Wharf?
Yes. The riverside developments off Aspen Way and around Blackwall are inside our normal E14 round. We are used to concierge buildings.
Will there be a smell in my flat afterwards?
No. The heavy soaking happens in the tank in the van. Indoors we use non-caustic products by hand, so you can cook that evening.
Can you do a rented flat between tenants?
We do a lot of these across Poplar. Landlords book the end-of-tenancy clean, we heat-test the oven and confirm it for the inventory.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Often the next day. We run seven days, though Saturday slots around Chrisp Street go early.
