Oven cleaning around Plumstead Common, SE18, using the in-van dip-tank method and non-caustic hand degreasing indoors, with single ovens from £77.
Roughly three and a half miles of terraced housing front onto the Common, and the ovens change as the ground rises. Uphill, the larger Edwardian houses along Plumstead Common Road often kept a double oven or a freestanding range. Downhill toward the old Arsenal, the two-up two-down terraces built for the workers in the 1880s mostly run a single freestanding cooker, the £77 clean. The split is steep enough to matter.
The houses that face the Common
The mid-Victorian and Edwardian terraces north of Plumstead Common Road hold much of their original character, and a kitchen in one of the bigger houses near the Old Mill often has a double oven that has never been fully stripped. The racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in the heated tank in the van, while the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased indoors by hand with non-caustic products, so a period kitchen is left with no chemical smell. A single takes about ninety minutes; a double runs to around two hours.
Where one of the grander houses on the Common has a proper range, our double oven clean at £110 is the usual booking, and every oven is heat-tested and signed off before we leave.

Parking on the steep streets
The streets that drop from the Common toward Plumstead High Street are steep and narrow, so a morning slot before the school run near Plumstead Manor is easier for the van. Greenwich scrapped the proposed Plumstead controlled-parking zone in 2025 after local opposition, so most of these roads are still free to park on. The area is inside the London-wide ULEZ, and our vans meet the standard.
Do you clean the double ovens in the bigger houses on the Common?
Yes. A double is a fixed £110, and a 90cm range is £114. Both are quoted on the phone before we come.
Is the oven usable straight after?
Yes. We heat-test it and sign it off before leaving, and the non-caustic products mean there is nothing to air out.
Can you clean a single freestanding cooker in a terrace near the High Street?
Yes. That is the £77 single-oven clean, and it is the most common job we do downhill.
Do you do end-of-tenancy ovens around Plumstead Common?
We do. Agents letting the terraces book them between tenants, and we sign the oven off for the inventory.

Reviews from our rounds
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
I would certainly recommend this service, very efficient and good value for money. The young man did a great job and even cleaned the kitchen floor. Thank you.
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
