The Great West Road was finished in 1925 and Osterley's housing followed it, with semi-detached and terraced ribbon development going up along the A4 through the 1930s. That is still most of the stock. The 1930s semi around Jersey Road, Thornbury Road and Osterley Road tends to keep its kitchen in the original back-of-house footprint, which means a freestanding 60cm cooker or a built-in single under the worktop, and the room is small enough that you would rather the dirty part of the job happened somewhere else.

Osterley Park is not a neighbourhood
The house is National Trust, handed over by Lord Jersey after the war, and the estate straddles Hounslow and Ealing. Nobody lives there. What sits around it is Wyke Green, the golf course, and the larger detached houses on that side, where a wider cooker is likelier than in the ribbon semis. That is a £114 job for a 90cm range rather than the £77 single, though the dip-tank clean we do across Osterley and Spring Grove is the same method at either size.
The Sky side is a different kind of kitchen
Sky's campus is on Grant Way, and the newer flats around that corner of TW7 come with integrated ovens and hoods as standard. Something worth knowing about them: Hounslow can attach a planning condition barring occupiers of a new build from holding a resident permit, so at some of those addresses there is no bay for us even when the flat is occupied. Better sorted before the day than on it.

Do you cover Spring Grove as well?
Yes. It is one Hounslow ward, Osterley and Spring Grove, and one price list either side of it.
How long does the van need to be there?
Ninety minutes for a single, about two hours for a double. The tank has to come up to heat and the parts have to soak, so it is not a twenty-minute wipe-round.
Can you do the hob and the hood on the same visit?
Yes. A hob is £23–28 depending on the type, an extractor hood £28, a microwave £22.
Is Osterley inside the ULEZ?
It is, with the rest of Hounslow. Our prices do not move for it.
