Most of the housing around Nunhead Green and along Evelina Road is late-Victorian and early-Edwardian terraces, and those tight terraced streets set the pace for the job. Parking changed here in 2025
Nunhead used to be free to park in, which made it one of the simpler bookings on our books. That changed when Southwark extended controlled parking zone B across the area, with the orders coming into force on 27 January 2025 and covering roads including parts of Nunhead Lane, Nunhead Crescent, Scylla Road and the Evelina Road high street. A resident permit now runs to £225 a year for a petrol car.

The kitchen is small. Will there be fumes?
No. The soaking happens in the van, and everything done in the kitchen is non-caustic, so even a galley kitchen is fine to use the same day.
Can you get parked near Nunhead Green?
Usually within a short walk. We carry the racks, so a nearby bay is enough. If your street is now permit-only, we arrange a visitor permit first.
What if my oven is a double, not a single?
A double is £110 and takes around two hours. Let us know when you book so we set aside the time.
