Stucco terraces and garden squares
Most of our Notting Hill work is in the white stucco-fronted terraces, either the whole houses on the Ladbroke crescents or, more often, the flats they were carved into around Pembridge and the garden squares. These are Victorian houses on a planned Victorian suburb, so the kitchens range from a wide ground-floor room with a range cooker to a tight galley up in a roof conversion, sometimes on the same street. The mews off Portobello Road add another kind again: former stables, small footprints, a compact oven wedged into a fitted run. In the larger family houses that stayed whole we do see the odd AGA or Rangemaster, cleaned without caustic on the enamel.
How the clean runs
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. Indoors we degrease the cavity, the fan cover and the door glass by hand with non-caustic products, so no chemical smell is left behind, and where the door is built to allow it we split it to reach between the glass. The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go. A single is about ninety minutes; a double closer to two hours.
One street gives us a range in a garden-square flat, the next a tiny oven in a Portobello mews.
Parking and the Saturday market
Parking here needs planning, and Saturday needs more of it. Portobello Road runs as a market from about 8:30am on a Saturday, from the antiques at the Chepstow Villas end up to the second-hand stalls near Golborne Road, so the roads around it are closed or jammed and we schedule those bookings for other days where we can. The whole area is a controlled parking zone with restricted daytime hours, and the mews are narrow with little room to turn. Because the tank stays in the van, we can park a little off your street and carry the racks in. W11 has sat inside the ULEZ since October 2021, and our vans meet it.
Prices
Prices are fixed on the phone, with no premium for a W11 postcode, and no call-out fee inside the Circulars. If you have a big range in a Ladbroke Grove kitchen, a 90cm range cooker clean is quoted at the same rate as anywhere.

Common questions
Can you park near the Portobello mews?
Usually, yes, though it takes planning on market days. The tank stays in the van, so we can leave it a short walk off and carry the parts to and from the kitchen.
Do you clean range cookers and AGAs?
Yes, both turn up in the bigger W11 houses. A 90cm range is £114 and a two-oven AGA is £143, neither cleaned with caustic on the enamel.
Is there a surcharge for Notting Hill?
No. A single oven is £77 whether it is a whole house on a crescent or a flat off Pembridge Square.
