The street names here were imported from Gloucestershire. Pebworth Road, Blockley Road, Paxford Road, Ebrington Road, Ilmington Road and Draycott Avenue all take their names from villages and farms on Captain Spencer-Churchill's other Northwick Park, the one at Blockley in the Cotswolds, and he began selling this land off for housing in 1924 at roughly £1,400 freehold a pair.
The 1920s semis set the kitchen shape
Spencer-Churchill wanted a high-class estate, so his semi-detached pairs were built each in a different style to the pair next door, and the layout radiates out from a 500-foot circle that was meant to hold a private club and ended up a Masonic centre. Kitchens in that stock are original back-of-house rooms, often extended once into the side return. Most now hold a freestanding cooker or a built-under single. A single oven in a Pebworth Road semi is £77 and takes about ninety minutes.
A hospital and a campus in the same square mile
Northwick Park Hospital sits on Watford Road at HA1 3UJ with around 500 beds, and the University of Westminster's Harrow campus is next door. That combination drives short tenancies: medical staff, students and researchers taking a year on an address and handing the keys back. End-of-tenancy work is a steady part of the HA1 diary and the door glass gets split where the design allows, because that is where an inventory clerk looks.

Yes. An integrated single is still £77. The build going up on the old hospital car park runs to roughly 654 apartments, and integrated appliances are the norm in that kind of scheme.
