Northolt grew in two waves. Modern family homes went up in the 1920s and 30s, then the council added the bulk of the estates through the 50s and 60s, and by 1963 there were more than three thousand council houses in the town, which is why the West End ward reads as solid post-war terraces rather than the Victorian stock you get closer to central London. The flats near Northolt station lean the other way, with integrated single ovens built into fitted units.
Racecourse and Islip Manor kitchens are single-oven country; the AGAs are elsewhere.

Where the van goes
Parking is mostly easy. The estate streets around Church Road and Kensington Road are open resident parking, so the technician gets close to the door, though the controlled zone NS around Northolt station means a pay-and-display near there. Northala Fields, the grassy pyramids off the A40, is the landmark most people give us for directions. Ealing sits inside the London-wide ULEZ, and the van is compliant.

Booking and questions
How long does a single oven take?
About ninety minutes. The racks soak while the inside is cleaned by hand, then we heat-test the oven and sign it off before we go.
Is there any smell left in the flat afterwards?
No. The caustic soaking is in the van tank, not indoors, and the hand work uses non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after.
Do you cover end-of-tenancy cleans on the estates?
Yes. Plenty of the terraces here are rented, and we time the clean so the oven passes the inventory check when the keys go back.
Can you clean the grill and the door glass too?
Yes, both are part of a standard clean. We split the door where the design allows to get between the panes.
